We are delighted to invite you to a special Matcha Atelier on Saturday, November 22, led by Hosai Matsubayashi XVI, the sixteenth-generation head of Asahiyaki, a renowned kiln from Uji, Kyoto, with over 400 years of history.
During this intimate one-hour session, Mr. Matsubayashi will perform a traditional tea ceremony while introducing the philosophy and artistry behind Asahiyaki’s ceramics—celebrated for their refined beauty and the unique clay of Uji.
Each session includes a bowl of matcha and a Japanese sweet (wagashi).
The demonstration will be held in English with French interpretation, and participation is limited to five guests per session to ensure a personal and serene experience.
