Asahi ware's traditional and iconic sencha bowl. The shape of the bowl is called "Asagao" (morning glory), and the upward spreading shape spreads the aroma of tea, while the white inside makes it easy to see the color of the tea.
The light blue color of the celadon porcelain evokes the image of a clear stream, allowing you to enjoy tea with a refreshed mind.

This is an appropriate vessel for drinking fine sencha tea. It is suitable for brewing tea in a kyusu (teapot). It is also suitable as a sake cup for drinking sake.

There are slight individual differences in the size and color of the finished product. Please note that the product you receive may not be identical to the one pictured here.
After each use, please wipe off the water thoroughly and dry well before storing.

Asahiyaki craftsmen use porcelain clay and skilled pottery techniques to form and unglaze the pieces, then apply a celadon glaze on the outside and a transparent glaze on the inside, and fire the pieces at approximately 1240°C. The pieces are then fired.
